Absolutely Normal. When the SCARS are imported, they have a pin in place that prevents insertion of a magazine. It is ground out when it hits US shores.

Its fine.Thats the remnants of the magazine block pin which was needed for import. FN grinds it down after it arrives at the US Factory and what you are seeing is the remnants of it.
