I Have about 2000+ rounds of demilled 5.7x28 black tip never fired ammo I bought years ago. The brass is virgin, primed FN brass and the bullets are factory black tip (bullet was pulled and powder was discarded... AAARGH). I want to consider doing some reloads for max AP capabilities and also, maybe do some loads for subsonic (or use other bullets for that purpose)-I do have a Chrony to help in the research. I Will be using a single stage Lee loader w 5.7x28 dies. (just posted all my dillon XL650 stuff on Craigslist... never used it... no patience... have more ammo than I can ever plink with in my remaining lifetime... I am 63) I have a couple of PS90s that have been sbr'd, and one has a can. (proper paperwork for all). Never did any reloading, as I have a good size stash of 192s that can keep me busy cleaning... Any idea as to where to start the reloading at for max velocity and for best subsonic work-would seek powder selection and charges-? My PS90's do not like to cycle fully on SS193. This is while firing several mags of SS192. Ammo is fresh and stored in a dehumidified safe. Is this a cross I must bear? or can this be improved upon? I have to admit... I love the State of Free Florida and the 50 round mags of FN...

New to this forum, but not new to our hobby... any help would be greatly appreciated. Guys/gals, be safe and lets enjoy our gift granted by our forefathers.

Thank you.

Welcome to the forum :)

I don't reload but started doing research on it a while back. I read that you should start at the minimum specification and work your way up to hot. I hear 5.7 is a little finicky, so that's how I'd start.

Thanks for sharing your experience with SS193. I'd be interested in hearing your progress and whether you get a good subsonic load to work.
