Hi there

Picked up an FS2000 last week with olive furniture. STarted castin around for information and found this site- like it so here I am.

I'm 44, married, 2 kids, etc, etc. I'm former US Army infantry (A Co 5/187 INF, 101st Airborne) and used to work for a now defunct security company that used to do training for certain government entities. I had my NRA LEO instructors certs and used to train sub-gun and breaching techniques. Got out of that life when I got married as the wife did not like my travel schedule (meaning I was on the road more then home).

SO went to college, got my degree, and began working for Forecast International as a defense analyst for ground and air-based electronics. Left there by going to Sikorsky where I am a troubleshooter and manual writer for the Blackhawks. I'm lucky in that I am one of the few that actually touches the birds a lot- I've been to Israel, Turkey, Ft Campbell, Ft Rucker, Redstone Arsenal, and about 10 other places in support of the birds.

I've always been into guns as my father owned one of the bigger gun stores up here in Connecticut. I'm primarily a "black rifle" kind of guy and own a number of them as well as various pistols. My one and only shotgun is a Benelli tactical model with various add-ons from my training days. I have some Class 3- suppressors, SBR's and the like.

ANyway, this is my first FN in a long time. I can hardly wait too shoot it and zero in the EOTech.

Thanks all!

Welcome to the fold!
You will probably find the 'backup' sights are very near zero already. The FS2000 is a pleasure to shoot. My first time I was a little put off by the noise of a spring ringing after every shot, but I haven't noticed it doing that lately.

You may have seen my recent post about putting a vertical fore grip on the FS2000- I think that improves the handling and feel of the rifle BIG time.

Merry Christmas
