I have spet some time here on the forum looking into this and am pretty much ready to pull the trigger. There is a PS90 here in town for sale, green with the white ring site no one likes for 1,650.00 or I can order one from my FFL for $1,550.00 with the site of my choice. I suspect some of you have both so which one would you choose?

-White Ring Site with REM2.

Or,

-BLack Ring Site.

Thanks to everyone for all the great information. It does not happen without people taking the time to contribute their knowelge and expierence.

If the rifles are the same price I would probably get a black sight. There are lots of white sights out there for sale so you could pick one up later and put an REM2 on it. Then you could swap them out at will.

Thanks for the replys. I do plan on keeping it stock which is why I was looking into the facotry site. This weapon will see some hard use,it will ride a jeep and bounced around a bit, my AR's know this. So I figured the stock site would hold up best.

Help me out with something that I have not been able to asertain from posts pertaining to the REM2. Does this light also work on or enhance the improved black ring site or is it strickly a fix for the white ring site?

Tanners is having a sale for a Black stock White Ring sight for $1250.00.

If you can get a Black Ring Sight for around $1600.00 that is the way to go. The Black is better then the White.

The REM 2 only works on the White Ring Sight.

Choices choices choices. :D

Did the Black Ring Site replace the White Ring site altogether on all new models? It sure seems that way looking at the FN web site.

If I ordered a one new today through my FFL, do I need to specify the Black Ring (USG Correct?) site versus the White Ring Site?

Thanks for all the help, I am getting close!

Yeah. I just bought mine a couple of weeks ago from Tanner's and it has the white ring sight.

From what I understand, they bought them in bulk and are slowly going through their stock of them, but if you order a "new" one from FN the standard configuration now includes the USG sight.

However, with the REM2 I've so far found the white ring to be perfectly sufficient for what I need. And with a $400 difference between the models on Gun Broker, it was the more cost effective option as well..

Yes you do. They still have a lot of White Sights left so you have to specify.

Haven't tried the black ring sight, but for my purposes the white ring is very good. The REM2 is a very nice add, but I have had some issues getting the light unit to stay in place.
The "Well" walls are 20,000th wider on some Ring Sights (don't ask me why) therefor you need to put a piece of electrical tape or double sided tape on the side of the LED housing. That will make it fit tight. :?

didn't mean to hijack the thread.... OK

The Black Ring Sight is definatly better than the White Ring Sight. But I wonder when they designed the thing... WHY didn't FN allow for an illuminated Reticle as an option? It could have had a very small knob/dial like the C-More Sight so you can turn it on when you wanted. That would have been SWEET!!!

well i dont know about you guys but i couldnt see the white sights for sh*t when it was sunny out and i was wearing glasses instead of contacts i could barely see the stock sights i got a good deal on a black sight and i never looked back spend the extra money if your planning on keeping your ps-90 for life like me its worth it if you love your gun and want to keep it if it is just a toy for the year or so then the choice would be up to you

I just bought one from Tanners and for the price you can't beat it. On the other hand, if you get the white sight and depending on how much you will use it, you will have to upgrade the sight either with selling the white sight and getting a red dot and a top rail or there is another post on the website here about adding an illuminator to increase the power of the white sight and it becomes yellow/amber.
