I made a pdf document with many pictures of the serial numbers and markings to help decipher.
I have the website for the date code from Browning: Browning Date Your Firearm - Hi-Power Pistol
And I found a site that gives the meanings of the different symbols they engraved on the weapon: http://damascus-barrels.com/Belgian_All_Proofmarks.html

The serial # is 131766 and the Only letter I find Stamped anywhere is on Left side of Receiver on the trigger guard and it is: "E". My guess is 1966

There are also some markings on the Bottom of the receiver (magazine well) But not sure they mean anything.

I cannot figure out the correct date of manufacture. Maybe you could give me some insight. I would really appreciate it.
The document is in "Googles MyDrive" you don't have to download it as it will show just by clicking the link.

Nice Hi Power, Randy! I like the S&W rear sight and slide rib/front sight. I suspect that your Hi Power was the trooper's highly prized off duty gun. Probably the best $200 you ever spent!
