I run a Blade-Tech because they were about the first company I know of who actually started producing holsters for the FNP. There may be a few more now, but I am still waiting for comp-tac to get it together.

Luckily I am local to several makers, Comp-Tac included. They flat out told me they had no interest in making a holster for my FNP-40.

Tucker Gunleather was more accomodating. I asked them to put me on their waiting list and then call me when my holster was up. Several months later, I delivered my pistol to them on a Tuesday and my holster was ready for pickup on Friday.

I can't be sure the situation is the same now, but at the time I contacted all of the makers of dummy guns and no one offered one for the FNP's.

Re: FN9 holster

I have been having the same problem and stumbled across the solution by accident. The H & K USP compact .45 holster is a PERFECT FIT for the FN9.

Hope this helps
I have a blackhawk drop leg holster for a Beretta 92/M9. We cut a couple stitches out of it by the trigger guard and the FNP's fit in there beautifully.

As far as Comp Tac, They did tell me that they had no plans of producing a holster for the FNP. I was told if I sent them my FNP they could make me one. I understand the idea of the dummy pistols since its all pretty much a popularity contest and there may never be one for the FNP until it has either been adopted by by several agencies, the military, or has been around for nearly a decade. But who needs a dummy gun when they can be had for under $400 and might even be a business expense write off.

I find their comment surprising. I made the same offer and was told that I wouldn't want my pistol put through their process.

I don't know if he's still around, but I had several Kydex Gun Glove holsters made for me by Kevin McClung of Mad Dog Holsters (A.K.A. MD Labs) just outside Prescott, Arizona. I was able to specify the cant of the holster, the retention in pounds, and he made magazine holders for me, too. His process is the same no matter what kind of gun he's making a holster for, so it's irrelevant what kind of gun you have. If he hasn't made one for a gun before, you have to send him yours (or stop in like I did and get it while I waited).

The process that might seem kind of dangerous to some includes wrapping the gun in foil and then wrapping a hot piece of Kydex around it. It hardens in a minute or so, and leaves no trace on the gun. None of mine looked the worse for wear, anyway. The whole process took less than ten minutes and cost me only $45 per holster. Once I tried it out, I decided it was a little too retentive, and he heated it back up and took a couple pounds off. How's that for custom??

Again though, it's been a few years since I did this, and I don't know if he's still doing it. He was big into making ceramic knives at the time, and I don't know if that took over his focus. He even sharpened my Benchmade for me while we were chatting, no charge. Super good guy, and his stuff is top notch!

Thanks for that link, those look pretty nice. And I see they have them listed for the FNP's. I haven't had a chance to look real close but i cannot find anything on how they retain the pistol. My first thought is that its leather and there should be a thumb break. Is there an internal retention system?

I doubt there's any internal retention on the holsters by Brigade but i'm jazzed about them anyway.

Great link. Good find,

To tell you the truth I don't see much reason for anything other than friction retention on a concealment holster anyway. The brigade holsters look like they have enough friction surface to retain just fine for most any movement. The only reason for more levels of retention would be for open carry law enforcement, where you had the weapon hanging open on your side, inviting a gun grab attempt.

I really Like the Brigade M-11 Ulimate C.C.H. IWB holster and am already adjusting my finances to get one.

Thats the same one I was looking at. :D Once my $3000 concrete project is done here in the next week, I think I'm going to see if there is anything left for one.

I have the Brigade M-11 Ulimate C.C.H. IWB holster for my FNP-9 and I couldn't be happier. It took about 13 weeks to get my order but it's will worth the wait. Very comfortable and carries well with a good 1 1/2" holster belt to keep the pistol close to the body. My holster does have a tension screw for the trigger guard which does not show on the picture on Brigade's website.
