You don't have to remove the buffer tube, castle nut, etc., when replacing the stock body on a carbine collapsible buttstock.Ghostdancer said:How do you change a sliding stock on a Car-15? Is there a way to put, say a Mag-Pul stock on the recoil spring/stock tube without removing the tube, castle nut, etc.? Any help would be appreciated.
Note: There are two types of buffer tubes (receiver extensions) in common use: Mil-Spec and Commercial. If you have a Commercial buffer tube on your rifle, make sure you order the Commercial CTR, stock number MAG311.
