I'd go with the trade simply because cerakote can wear through or come off. FN puts the FDE into the polymer. However, the slide cover is still black, so if you want that FDE as well, that will have to be cerakoted either way. It may be hard to find an FDE USG, however the FDE MKII (current model) is around
I finally found it.
I have been searching a long time for the "great deal". Finally found it and so far I love it. One problem, the holes in the target are so small and close together I can barely see them. 
One item that I would like an opinion on if ya'll don't mind.... I want FDE. Should I get it cerakoted or maybe seek a trade? I am very pleased to be an owner now.

Good luck finding someone to trade a fde for a black one since the fde's usually go for several hundred more. If your really set on an fde, then sell the one you have and start going on the hunt. High plains gun shop is where I got mine for a good price thanks to Lester
Nice pickup! I have been on the hunt for an FDE one for more 6 months. Everyone has jacked up prices on GB. I have been on high plains gun shop waiting list for fde but every time I go to add to cart, only black is available. BTW, some on here would classify you as ghey for seeking fde. I have an FDE and OD addiction so I would never be so bold as to judge you!
