What can I say, when you inherit 35 guns from your father, you pretty much have one for every occasion.

Whats in my nightstand


in truth, my PS90 was the first gun I have every bought

Not really. For whatever reason some one who had the gun before dad put a standard length 1911 barrel in a Combat Commander. He bought it from a friend who bought and sold guns as a hobby. It is surprisingly accurate for a "non tuned" 1911.

Nice Combat Commander, I'd never get rid of my Commander. I've had it for just over 20yrs. I taught my wife to shoot with that gun. Is yours a series 80?

well it has 80 as a prefix to the serial #, so i assume it is.

On Mine, on the slide, one side says; Combat Commander, On the other side of the slide it says; Mark IV series 80. What does it say on yours?

On the left side, the usual stuff. On the right side, "Colt Combat Commender Model". And the serial number.
