Its finally here!
First, as others have reported, I also received swag with my SEAL order. Jim was very gracious and sent 3 SE patches, 2 SE T-Shirts, 1 SE Hat and 2 SE stickers and a business card with a thank you note on it. Impressive and I didn't even get to the SEAL yet.
After unwrapping the SEAL from its packaging, I looked it over and was very impressed by the SEALs appearance. Both the machining and finish were Top Tier and was exactly what I was expecting from SE. The SEAL included a new grip screw ,"star" washer, and a new magazine catch assembly already installed into the SEAL along with the new SOAMR that I ordered. I honestly did not expect for the Mag catch assembly to be installed along with my soamr, which was a pleasant surprise.
( The attention to detail on the SEAL is top notch. Notice how the MIAD grip meets seamlessly with the enhanced trigger guard.)
Moving on to installation.
Now, I could bore you with every single detail, but I will say that the assembly was every bit as easy as the assembly video makes it out to be. All pins slid in effortlessly and were easy to align. Just follow the video and Piece O' Cake!
I found that seating the SEAL onto the SCAR17s was no harder than seating the OEM trigger module.
Moving onto the function check. Everything operated smoothly and in the same exact manner as the OEM polymer trigger module.
The finished product on my SCAR17s:
I have yet to pick up any PMag LR 25 round PMags so I'm going to run to the gunshoppe and pick up a few to cover magazine interface before I head to the range.
Verdict so far is that I am very impressed with the SE SEAL MK4 and I am very excited to take my SCAR17s with the SEAL MK4 to the range this week so I can give a full review on the SEAL.
