The pictures show everything hanging on the PS90, and I take off what I don't need at the moment to lighten it up.

I wish I had a camera mount to get a shot of the view through the PVS-14. All I can say by comparison is that Vic at tacticalnightvision.com has some shots on his web site that are very accurate representations of what you see using this unit, even though his pics were shot through a different type NVG. Specs on the lasers are 8mm @ 25 meters, and the illuminator has an adjustable divergence from 0 to 6 degrees. Power levels are 35mW (Class 3b).

What you see of the IR laser depends on the power setting. On low power, it's a small dot on the target. On high power it looks like a light saber because you get sparkle and refractions off every piece of dust in the atmosphere between the laser and the target, with a very bright dot on the target.

Also, the IR illuminator (separate from the IR laser) has an adjustable focus which projects a beam that starts out as a point and can be opened up to provide a spotlight beam that at about 100 yards is about six feet in diameter. So, when using the illuminator and laser in combination, the IR laser dot on the target is enhanced by the spotlight from the illuminator, giving you VERY high definition on the target. With a PVS-14, you can see into the shadows and illuminate nooks and crannies easily.

The tape switch comes with the unit, along with 5 special target designator lenses where you can project five different symbols for marking targets with either the IR illuminator or laser.

All you need is an SBR tax stamp....and a REAL can.
Thought about both the SBR and a real can. My Chief said he'd sign off on the paperwork if I wanted to do it, but then I can't use it to hunt because of minimum barrel and overall length issues. Stock, it is legal for deer and I'm thinking of it because I hunt in some thick, nasty $hit and it might have a use there. I can use the EOTechs, but the lasers and lights have to come off. Wierd laws around here - you can use dot sights but nothing that projects any type of beam - light or laser in any part of the spectrum.

The fake can helps reduce flash to a certain extent, and balances the rifle a little better. Plus, I think it's just more proportional, especially with the optics package.

Yeah, that is cool. You know if you go to CCMG and let them take the shroud off....you can always swap back and forth. I think they remove the pin the right way and leave the original barrel and cover intact.

I don't know of any problems with that swapping as long as when you have the SBR on you have the proper paperwork. You could have the best of both worlds then.

PS VERY NICE SETUP !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Personal purchase from 44Mag.com. He got a bunch from an agency that was surplusing them. They came and went in a week.

It works like a dream well out to past the effective range of a PS90 - looks like the Jedi light saber when using the IR laser and night vision gogs.
