So I'm looking for a CC worthy weapon and I would like to know what the FN community thinks about the Px4 storm compact 9mm. Like I said before, I'm looking for a CC weapon but I don't think I want to go with something like the sub compact version. If you own this gun, can you enlighten me with your opinion of the pros and cons associated to this particular model? Is there something else you recommend?

While it's not the smallest or thinnest...it's a great carry gun. And I much prefer the compact to the sub. It's a great shooter and mine was flawless. The only reason I don't have it is, it was part of a multi gun trade for something I just "had" to have at the time. Which is now gone too! I had actually sold it to a friend then bought it back once before. The rotating barrel is pretty cool...a little white lithium grease keeps it moving smoothly. If you want to know anymore specific, ask or PM. Glad to help.

It's an underappreciated gun. Great Beretta quality at less than Glock price. I have the full size in .45ACP and the subcompact in 9mm and I enjoy shooting them both. Of course the subcompact uses the Browning tilting barrel action instead of the rotating barrel action of the full size and compact.

The gun is bulky like most plastic guns nowadays, but it shoots great. I use the safety lever as a decocker only. Flip it down to drop the hammer safely then flip it back up for carry.

I have to agree with FnF, it is an under appreciated firearm. I have the 9mm Subcompact. It's a 3" barrel, but very accurate. Also, like FnF, I too use the safety as a decocker. It's a good SA/DA pistol, IMO. I have been pleased with it as it met my criteria.

I also was looking at the S&W M&P Shield, and Ruger SR9-C. After testing firing all 3, I was more impressed with the Px4 Storm, it's ease of operation, and how it felt in my hand over the other two. I hope this was helpful.

Out of curiosity, what did you end up with instead?
