He's been gone a while. He was due back from Iraq at the end of Jan, and he even contacted me about coming to a tactical shooting class when he got back. Been over a month - haven't herad back from him since. I hope he made it out of Iraq in 1 piece.

All to often you hear about something happening to guys there during their last few days before they are scheduled to leave...

Back now :).

Currently home on leave. Heading back later this month. I am working out of Hilla now, just south of Baghdad. Lots of green stuff in Hilla:

Things are good now, but we had a rough time in late March. That was when we had the big rocket attacks in the Green Zone. I got knocked on my butt one time :).

I took a transfer to Hilla and like it much better than Baghdad.

Anyhow, while on leave I decided to inventory my weapons for some gun porn. I think there is an FN in there somewhere...

Take an AK and stick it in a box and ship one back to me if you get a chance - I'll pay the postage :)

Glad you're safe! :?

Iraq ninja's a Southpaw, just like me, too few left handed shooters. I shoot with my left hand with a pistol, but right handed with a rifle and shotgun. I mainly use my left hand for control during aiming with a rifle or shotgun. Found out I'm left handed/Right eye dominant :-? , what's up with that????   . I'm trying to shoot left handed with a rifle and shotgun but its difficult and just doesn't feel right.

I'm right handed and left eyed. It basically sucketh.
Same here. It makes it hard to keep both eyes open when shooting. I guess that's why I like the red dot sights so much. The Lazermax guide rod in my G17 is a Godsend as well.

Thanx again for your service Iraq Ninja. :? If you get a chance to write down (type out) Your experiences over there, especially the good things you have seen happen, I would love to read it.

Well, the good news is that we got our internet fixed for a 2nd time, after KBR cut the cable on accident.

Things are good over here still. Well, besides the IED we almost drove by yesterday, just 100 yards from the front gate of the Baghdad airport! We had a big dust storm and someone felt brave and snuck up to the road to place 3 mortar rounds. Good news is that a local farmer saw it and reported it to the US mil.

Have not yet seen any FN SCARs in service here. Strangely, I did see a SIG 556 in US military use....
