Hello, I recently purchased this 17 and noticed that when i pull the charging handle back to about 1.5 inches before it stops, It feels slightly rough for the remainder of the travel. I noticed a spot of missing paint and a small bit of bare metal on the upper. The picture is looking up from the bottom with the lower off. I applied some grease to keep it from getting worse faster. Is this normal? what's causing it and what can I do? Thanks!

I'd check and see if something is pushing up on the bolt carrier at the rear of the travel. It's probably no big deal, but I'd investigate a bit and see if you can locate any slight interference. If it cycles fine, it really is nothing.
