I learned a long time ago, not to trust the wife when it comes to my gifts. so santa came early today.
I picked up a new IWI Tavor in 9mm
1000 rounds and 6 32 rd clips showed up today so.... can you guess what I did this morning
550 poly steel case 115gr, 400 124gr brass range ammo, a bag of old reloads that were sitting in the corner , Not one failure, not one! Out of the box stock!

A few rounds to sight her in

And then over to the steel plate range for some fun

Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be based on reports. There is a bit of travel and the break is about 6 lbs based on my calibrated finger :th_tsk:. Feels Far better than my SCAR thats for sure. reset could be better but its uniform so there is that. If I had to sum the trigger up, I was ready to order one next week, fearing the worst. Now... I think it can wait abit, I have better things to spend the cash on.

Comes either way but If you already own a TAVOR you can buy a 9mm conversion kit for under $800.00

yea, I think they saw a market when they were selling the conversion kits like hotcakes, why not just sell them in 9mm.

Do tell, where do you buy it?
I can get range ammo 9mm for about 20c a round (Brass) and 556 (steel) 23c a round, the cheapest brass 556 ammo I can find is about 35c a round

Not sure what the current price is now, but I brought tons of 223s when 223 was hitting .20 range when 9mm were still in the .30s several weeks ago. Nice thing about Tavor is being able to swap between the two (and without rezeroing optic). I was bummed when they cancelled the 545 conversion kit but much better now seeing how that the surplus 545 drying up since the import ban.
