Key thing here is hoping this ruling holds up to appellate court scrutiny in the 9th Circuit where it is already heading. We know those sitting at the 9th's bench enjoy legislating FROM the bench. This case may ultimately end up on SCOTUS' docket where at this point there's no telling the outcome. Rejoice in the ruling, though current reality dictates it may be short lived.
Judge Benitez doing work. My concern is whether the Supreme Court will hear an assault weapons ban and if they do, how much is the fear of having the court packed will play into their decision. If the GOP can take they Senate, I would be cautiously optimistic regarding to a ruling by SCOTUS.
