Keep or Sell?

So I have an FNX-45 Tactical, 700 rounds through the barrel so far, and I'm considering selling it. Here's why, I wanted to carry it daily but as you know, it's fn huge. So I've been carrying an M18 and a p365 instead. Been looking for a potential replacement (for carry) and I'm looking at a staccato c2. So here's the question, should I keep the fnx and buy the staccato, or is that a flop move.

Keep as an HD weapon. Only time I'd sell it is if you had a USP, Mark 23, or UMP as an HD gun.

You can carry an FNX-45 Tactical, if you so choose. But come on, that is not what the firearm is designed for: it's a pretty beefy pistol. That said, for what it is, a full size .45 ACP pistol with 15 round mags, ambi controls, and a grip that is pretty darn grippy, I'd say you should keep it. It's super reliable and a high-quality pistol.

But none of that matters if it doesn't meet your needs. What do you want? Sadly, there is no perfect firearm for every situation. So i ask you @Airmac, what is it that you are really looking for?

Keep it as an excellent HD handgun and if you can, get a HK45 Compact to carry if you still want a great carried .45acp pistol.

Personally I would never sell it! EDC carry is the challenge with those, obviously depends on your size how you dress and where you're going. I am just large enough and dress goofy enough to get away with it. All of that being said, I challenge you to find a better night stand weapon anywhere! Very accurate, very reliable, and you cannot beat the low recoil!

Hey all thanks for your input. Wanted to provide an update. I decided that I don't want to buy a staccato. While it's a great gun I'd rather spend that money on rifles and less expensive handguns.

So what did I do?

Bought an xdm elite 3.8 and then a few moths later...

I traded in the FNX 45 tactical for a Sig MCX Rattler. But, next up on my list is the FN 509 so that I can rejoin the FN group. Fyi, yall gotta check out the mcx rattler, it's God bless America amazing.

Congrats on your new acquisition.

For which pistol, and which Holosun are you referring to?
I used the plate that came with my FNX-45 Tactical to mount my Vortex Venom. The gun came with two plates

You can't go wrong with either an HK45 Compact or a USP45 Compact. If possible, try to get one or the other with the LEM trigger (Lite LEM is even better).

The top 2 photos are my FNX-45T with the included optic mounting plate for my Holosun, and the bottom 2 are with the thinner (but just as solid) optic mounting plate from CHPWS...

Both plates allow great co-witnessing through a red dot but the CHPWS plate gave me the needed room for my nightstand gun safe when the pistol is secured.

I sold mine a while back but sort of regret it. Texture was way too aggressive without gloves but maybe I just have baby hands.

I've got a Sig 1911 Emperor Scorpion Carry and it's grip is even more aggressive then the FN FNX45T
