Why do you want your SCAR 17 to look like a platypus?
Point taken...After I read that, I viewed it a little differently! :icon_lol:

^^^Ditto^^^ and welcome to the forum! :)
Thank you, I appreciate that... pardon my manners (or lack thereof) I've always been terrible with introductions!

I'm taking delivery of my first FN rifle here in a week or so (after years of want/need), and I've just been entertaining different possibilities for what I may want to add to it. Admittedly, some of my ideas are probably far from sensible at this point. :icon_e_biggrin:

I most certainly do appreciate the opportunity to learn from and utililize the tremendous amount of knowledge and insight available here. Thanks again!

Not sure what your wanting to accomplish beyond what the OEM brake does, but this one has me interested.

I don't know about the Nitrous but Surefire should fill the "tested, respected, and effective" requirements. The Pro Comps look pretty affordable too if you are not planning on mounting a can on it.

Thanks fellas!....I truly appreciate the feedback. I'm not necessarily looking for a device to do anything that the OEM part doesn't. I'm just looking to glean some sense of what is worth taking a closer look at as interesting options. I've certainly done considerable reading of the plethora of info available here regarding muzzle devices, but the Lancer pieces weren't much mentioned.
