(A lot more skill than I) Anyway, just curious if anyone has thought of drilling out the peep sight in the rail on the standard and putting a laser in there? If they can get one in a .223 for a bore sight, why not? Anyone with skills think its worth a try?

Its been done before. I believe there is a kit somewhere to do exactly that with a higher-power green laser (pointer?). It was posted on here like 6+ months ago. I am too lazy to search for a link for you, though.

For the amount of work it would take to lose the peep sight and replace it with a laser (and the expense to one-off it) most would either just slap a side-rail on their PS90 and attach a laser there, or if they have the coin and want it slick, get the factory laser installed.

Promoted pawn use to do them not sure about now. Also you could obtain a p90 stock that already has out from the factory
They have it listed on their site at $720 because they do the install. The laser itself is $350. It's pretty steep but it looks like they do a slick job of integrating it.

I for one am not interested in giving up the cavity for the cleaning bottle to put the battery for the integrated laser (the way Promoted Pawn does it) there. Probably because I have the OEM OREA oil bottle & cleaning kit in both my PS90s ;) Plus, I always liked the "top heavy" look of the SG-1 guns with a flashlight & laser on them, but technology has improved to the point where those giant dinosaurs are just that...

Personally, I would just bolt a side-rail and get a rail flaslight/laser combo (TLR-2?) and be done. Much cheaper.

Found the post, not exactly what I was looking at. Lots of discussion but no one working on getting it in the rail in place of the peep sight. Was just wondering if someone with a good skill set has looked at this possible mod. Or can say that its not workable. http://fnforum.net/forums/fn-ps90-accessories-mods/61976-ps90-laser-built-into-picattiny-rail.html
I am interested in more info on the rail pictured in your link. Seems the perfect spot for one with room for module and battery. For anyone who doesn't use the standard sight it seems perfect except I don't see any way to adjust the laser for windage/elevation. That may be why he stopped selling/making them. I messaged the original ebay poster of the article to see if he will share which rail he started out with and any other details. If anyone else can identify the rail plz let me know. It's not the picatinny that came with my rig which is the p90/ps90 m193 rail.

btw a .223 boresighter may be perfect to fit into the drilled area. You would need to modify the switch. Adjusting for windage/elevation would have to be figured out before it would work.

Don't want the stock integrated laser, the cavity over the trigger pack is where I store my 2 form 4 copies. Plus I don't don't want a lot of drilling of the stock and don't trust a laser mounted directly under the muzzle device (sbr). Not to mention 700 bux is a lot of cash and PP isn't answering my emails about wait times.

Thx
