From what I've gathered reading posts on the matter, you're best off staying away from cantilever-style mounts. Sounds like the forward bolt force may be amplified by them, transferring more energy to the scope. First step, purchase a quality optic. I'd look at ADM, Larue, and Bobro if you want QD. Of the three, ADM's RECON-S will probably be the lowest price/lighter option. Their Delta is the one to get for robust-ness (that word is all the rage nowadays). Visiting the sites should get you the weight answers you're looking for.

Warne QD rings might be worth a look.

I own the new Bobro SCAR QD mount and I can assure you it's built like a tank, very tight fit with the SCAR upper receiver as well. Now that these mounts are available, it's the only way to go for the SCAR IMO.

And I went and got a cantilever mount... That would have been good to know. Oh well. And you have to have QD. How else can you operate like an operator? LMAO. And yes, mine is QD too.
