My Leupold Mk 6 1-6 scope has the cmr-w 7.62 reticle. This hold-over reticle is calibrated for the Govt. M118 LR round. This round is a 175 gr. Sierra Match King going 2600 FPS.

I have worked up a load the 17s likes using Sierra 168 Match Kings. My load chronographed at 2558 fps from the 16 inch barrel of the 17s. But not to worry, my load pretty well matches the M118 trajectory. I am 1 inch low at 600 yds and 3 inches low at 700 yds. This reticle makes shooting pretty fast and even has the aim point for windage.

I really like this setup.

Good shooting,

Great Scope choice!! I have the same scope and a Mark 6 3-18x44 as well. I love the 1-6 but it currently is sitting on top of the ACR. I had a there custom shop change out my dials for the 5.56 set up. So now I have the best of both worlds and can put in on the ACR and use the dials, and if it goes back on the 17 I can just use the reticle. Love it!! Oh, didn't know if you knew - the Fed match 168gr ammo uses IMR 4064 just incase you were still experimenting. Good Luck! :?

Should you run out of 4064 in your AO, IMR 4895 makes a good substitute for this load. I get very similar results with 168 gr SMKs and 4895.
