OK guys...this is probably covered somewhere else, but i'm too lazy to find it. I have used steel AR mags for my FS2K...and have changed out the followers to Magpul anti-tilt. I'm having some feeding issues with them, one mag inparticular....when I got back from the range I stripped and reloaded it, and it was giving me hell...the rounds wouldn't stagger properly. Had to keep shoving them all down to reset the rack.

My question is....is it a bad mag, do I need to spray graphite in the mag, or should I trash my used mags and order new ones.

Little help here would be appreciated.

Thanx

In short yes. Go buy yourself some new Brownells mags. Here are some that already have the Magpul followers. http://www.brownells.com/magazines/...-magazine-with-magpul-follower-prod24307.aspx

When I got mine, I cleaned them and smoothed up any rough edges. Warmed them up and treated them with Froglube. Be sure to wipe it all off! The mags come really dry, and it really helps with inserting the mags in my FS2000.

Really, you have to prepare your mags for use in your fs2k? I thought it would accept(and function with)any/all AR-type mags.
Obviously I have no experience with an fs2k.
The 2000 can be a fickle weapon, but for close support I wouldn't trade it for the world!

Post some pictures of the mag lip area.

Sounds like they are bent.

Only use metal STANAG mags. Poly's won't work.

M16 USGI mags are dirt cheap. Why mess around with some used broke ass ones? Just get some brand new ones for less than ten bucks nowadays.

My favored aluminum brands are the NHMTG (or something like that). But D&H will do. Hell, I even have good luck with C Product steel ones.

I have and love the Bravo Company brand magazines.

AR15 magazines
They're made by ASC of dubious quality. I had a couple of slightly curved 20-rounders that refuse to feed the second round. Yep, just the second round. First round is fine. Jam on second round, fine with the rest of the mags. Still haven't figured out why the hell those two mags are like that.

FYI magpuls anti tilts only go in one way, didn't thoroughly read the posts, just skimmed them.

+1 those metal mags do dent easily so that may cause the prob or some debris in there. I have a mag that I had to sanded down the rail on the follower so the follower would slide all the way up. Just that was getting stuck. GL
