MC-10-80E Clearance Issues

Hello everyone,

I recently picked up a PS90 and the thing is great. I also just bought a brand new factory style Ringsights MC-10-80 Electronic to replace the pic rail that the gun came with, but I think either the Ringsights optic is out of spec or my upper is out of spec.

Trying to install the optic, I can't tighten the rear set screw all the way without crushing the battery cap against the upper. I was able to somewhat resolve the issue by nearly maxing out the elevation adjustment but I'm almost sure this is not normal. I'm not super happy about this and am thinking about contacting Kingsview to see if they will replace it.

Wanted to share my experience and see if anyone else has had issues with the new Ringsights

Welcome to the forum. Is your PS90 all OEM?
Is this a NEW PS90? Jay at EA has discovered that FN has increased the thickness in a number of areas on the receiver, and I wonder if that part is now also taller.

Thank you! Yes it's OEM.

I purchased it new a few weeks ago. I'm hoping it's not something like that because I was looking forward to this combo. I see on the EA acog mount he has some info and measurements.. it's definitely the thicker GEN 2 receiver. I also see has taken some measurements for thickness in different areas. I wonder if the height has changed in some of those areas as well.
You can always take a Dremel and file down the area on the receiver that is hitting the optic. People have been adjusting receivers since day one. LOL.

I emailed Kingsview and it seems like they are also recently aware that the receiver mold has changed and they've spoken with at least one other customer with the same issue as me. They offered to make it right with a return and full refund. Hopefully they can add a warning to their website similar to EA. They also shared with me this image of a modification performed by a customer to make the sight fit.

This is most likely what I will be doing. Not elegant, but the Ringsight is to cool to not be able to use it. I wish I had the older style receiver but it's probably not worth selling mine and hunting down new old stock.
