This weekend I shot my best 200yd 30cal semi-auto group ever. And no it wasn’t done with one of my very trick bolt guns! Even in the extreme pouring rain, this was the weekend that I finally got a group with no flyers in it. (It might be another week or so before that target ever dries out. J)
Yes I know it’s to the left, but I shoot left-handed what can I say. (that’s the excuse I’m sticking with)
I had another 3 shot group that was even smaller, but then I screwed up and pulled shot #4 by almost a full .650" inch and ruined it.
Some days things just work. (I think the SCAR 17 has been talking to a lot of the bolt guns in that safe when the door is closed.)
Maybe I should put the other semi-autos in that safe for a week at a time so they too can learn something from the custom bolt guns. :-D

I have always said how accurate a FDE 17 is.. It will pound them in one hole no problem!!! I'm kind of surprised from a lefty though??? :lol:


All jokes aside that's one hell of a group man very good shooting must have been weaving in and out of the raindrops!!!

Ha ha ha.... No, that target was so wet still I didn't want to put in on the carpet. And just handling it I thought it was going to tare in two. I'm hoping that when I get home that the group shrunk by 50%! I mean,,, that's why I threw it in the target in the clothes dryer before going to work this morning. :happyrotfl4vi0:

Each one was only hitting the rain drops on their left side. - - - Hey!, That's why the group is to the left!!! Ok, that's my new excuse why I pulled the group! Thanks J.polisi for the new idea! :mrgreen:

Bench - and for a change I set my rest aside and went with the Atlas bi-pod, but I did use a rear bag.
