Just picked it up this morning and I'm so excited! I haven't even been to sleep after a 13hr shift at work last night, been up for 23hrs now and too wound up to sleep.

And the rest of the family....

I still need to do the velcro trick to protect the ejection port and attach the laser switch to the front of the gun and then do some shooting real soon. Time to round up the troops and hit the desert for a little waton destruction..... hopefully in the next week or so.

Nice setup. Looks like U did the light the same way I did.

Also, everyone I had previously seen with pressure switches all did them on the side of the gun. But yea, I put mine on the front. All I need to do is extend 1 finger to press it on the very front of the stock. I like it there because its out of the way unless I need it.

What optic is that?

The optic is a no-name brand - NcStar. A friend was using one on his AR and liked it (it has crosshairs, not a red dot; I don't like the red dot scopes). When I got my AR last year I picked one up and gave it a try. For what I use it for, it works great. Maybe if I'd stayed in law enforcement and depended on the optic every day I would have popped for a more expensive one. I just can't see spending hundreds of dollars on a scope for casual plinking. That and I didn't have a whole lot of money left over after getting the gun and the accessories (gun case, ammo, laser, brass catcher and two magazines). I still want to buy a couple more mags and lots more ammo. That and I'd like to pick up one of the vests from Robert (The Vest Guy). So, now that I'm done rambling I need to go and get ready to go out - just got a call and I'm going clubbing if I like it or not. Now, where did I put my favorite pink, sparkle lip gloss……….?

Yes, U are not kidding - between the gun and accessories, it is SUPER easy to stack up the costs. I went over $2k with all my stuff initially.

Some guys get ACOGs and such - my EOTECH was the max I could afford. But if U like the optic, then that's all that counts. I sometimes get hassled for not buying an Aimpoint, but I like the EOtech. And, I got a special deal on it for $295 new, from a dealer I know.

I like the flip up covers on your optic :)

Up to six mags and planning on buying several more. Also got a new holo sight. Got a new green laser, but one of the adjustment allen screws was stripped and couldn't adjust the beam so I have to send it back and get a new one.

How do U like that light mount? I did not like mine. I had to beat it on my rail with a hammer. It must have been out of spec. And, when I took it off last month or so, I had to use a hammer to beat the damn thing back off. Of course, my rails are longer than yours, so it took longer.

If I mount a light again, I'm just gonna use scope rings.

Yeah, I had to use a hammer, too. But, at least I know it's not going to come off when I least expect it to. Have the same mount (and flashlight) for my AR......
