it's something to get use to but with more repetition you'll know exactly how much to move your face up to the rmr. I learned to love it. Set my RMR to 25yrd and my 4x to 100yrds

Well done, also have an ACOG a TA31RCOM4 on my 16S. I agree a Geissele Super Scar trigger is a must on any SCAR be it a 16S or 17S

Instead of raising your head, try tilting the rifle so that you can use the RMR with your weak eye. Sounds weird but it does work.

When you tilt the gun, you don't lose the cheek weld.

Have you tried to tried to un mount/remount it to see if it keeps Zero? I have not, just curious.

Yeah, when you tilt the gun the zero is now off a bit. I don't sweat mine because the Deltapoint on top of my HAMR scope is strictly for close range anyway and it's still on target.
