I've been trying to recall the name of an accessory and the company that makes/sells it and having a hard time. It's been two days of it randomly popping back up in my head and I still haven't figured it out.

There is a small peg that almost looks like a miniature fore-end grip which attaches to the bottom of an AR-15 stock - it helps keep the butt off the ground when in the prone position. What is that called?

A monopod goes on the front end of a rifle to give the shooter a more stable platform. This little nub thing raises the rear end of the rifle up 2 or 3 inches. Keeps the rifle more leveled towards your target instead of tilted way up when on a bipod. Changes the way the rifle meets your shoulder, etc,.

Although, I may have to take back what I just said. A google search for "Rear monopod" gave me exactly what I was looking for. Thanks Akitainu.
