I am having a qty of short bbls machined to work with either the original rec or the new receivers I am making for the px90 project and want a little input on what twist rate would be preferable , 1/7 or 1/9
need input on BBl twist rate for newly made ps90 bbls

I am wide open to suggestions , 18" bbls with fake suppressor should be no problem .

I would buy a barrel like Esteves is talking about if you can keep close to the $300 range. Essentially, I want a 10.3 barrel with standard .5 x 28 threads with a perm attached suppressor shroud to keep the PS90 non SBR OAL. Shroud would need to accept standard 1.5 inch 5.56 suppressors. Is that possible?

I would like to see 16" and 10.3" in a 1-12 or even better, a 1-14 for ultra lightweight bullets.

CMMGs 1:7 10" barrels are reportedly more accurate that FNs 1:9, supposedly for both subsonic and full velocity 195 / 197.
On that basis I'd say go 1:7

Why not a 12 or 14 inch twist. I would think that with the lighter bullet a slower twist might help get that last extra bit of velocity.
Or are there really a lot of people that shoot heavy bullets out of their PS90's

I didnt realize the lead free round was that long. What about the 40gr Vmax? It is pretty short isnt it?
