First few magazines with the new FNS-9C. It's just an awesome handgun. @ Silver Eagle Group training facility using PPU 124 gr FMJ @ 12 yards indoors. This will most likely be replacing my M&P Shield as my EDC.

It sometimes (frequently, I think) happens that the first shot from a semi-auto hits differently than the rest of the rounds from the mag. When I'm testing ammo, I make a point of sending the first shot from a freshly loaded mag off the target/paper so it doesn't confuse me with strange results.

I'm told that reason is that when you manually rack the slide and release it, the gun doesn't always lockup quite the same way as when the slide does it for you as the result of shots fired.

In my experience a first round flyer makes me use the sights properly on subsequent shots. Usually operator error as many of us have habits of aiming for 6 or 12.

Good shooting!

My FNS-9c is very accurate too - I am surprising myself with how well I can shoot with it! These are great guns.
