Long time shooter (competitive high power rifle) but have been out of the sport for a few years. Now getting back into pistols. Always lusted for a .45 but never went through on a purchase. Decided I wanted a combat arm and not a competitive pistol. Web reviews had me looking at Taurus, FN, HK, SW and Ruger, but the FNX really got my attention. Got it yesterday and will get out to the range this weekend. This forum looks like the place to get my questions answered. Happy to be here.

^^^ I got out just in time. Despite not living there anymore I still try and give to VCDL where I can. Hopefully, when/if I come back things will have gone back to how they were when I left.
I blame all the out of state yuppies living in and around Arlington.

Welcome from yet another Virginian and FN lover. Colonial Shooting is a wonderful range, I have been there a few times. I loved my FNX so much that I had to get a Tactical as well. The FNX is the best double stack .45 I have owned, excluding custom built race guns.
