new MRD, which red dots are most folks using?

I'm partial to Trijicon products (RMR, SRO and MRO for bull-pups)....but wondering what folks like on their FN Five Seven

2 other questions...
1) are the new optic ready FN FiveSeven's coming with NIGHT sights?
2) why don't they come with threaded barrel, if come with suppressor height sights? Silly! Best place to get a threaded barrel for this new model?

Thanks!

Mainly watch the weight. SRO is pushing the limit it seams. Some people have had cycling issues with it, others have been fine. Ammo selection plays into that as well.

For barrels I like EFK. They recently started offering a MK3 thread adapter which should take care of the clearance issues due to the angled front face of the slide cover. I have one on order and can post a few pictures once it shows up.
I’m running 508T mostly because aesthetics but the window is also much easier to work with then a 507k
i ordered an RMR HRS. Been on order awhile and just shipped so won’t be long now.

Thanks! I always find this forum and members to be SOOOO friendly and helpful! I appreciate the input on all fronts. I'll also look into the EFK threaded barrel with adapter. Thanks again!

Thanks! Would love to see photos when you're done, and, feedback on how it all works out if you're willing/able? Thanks again!
Here are a few pictures of the new EFK MK3 MRD thread adapter. Basically they just shortened the adapter so it no longer contacts the plastic slide cover. Note that these adapters bottom out against the end of the barrel. They DO NOT bottom out against the shoulder on the barrel. That goes for the MK2 legacy style as well as the new MRD option, so don’t be bothered by the slightly exposed shoulder from a performance standpoint (although being bothered by an aesthetic standpoint is understandable). The wrench flats are a welcome addition! Again, not as aesthetically pleasing but certainly a great increase in function. The barrel itself is the exact same.

Had a spare 507k laying around so that's what's on my MKII with the DT Chaos slide cover. Primary use for that setup for me is small game and plinking/practice. Still an open sights guy for carry.

Awesome! Thanks so much!
Mind if I ask how much?
Also, any good solutions for suppressor height night sights?
They’re available on EFK’s website for $368.99.
I think Elite Ammunition might be the only option for night sights.

Thanks for your help, and everyone else too. Might be time to finally just update what I have vs. buying another 5.7....thanks!!
Does anyone know if the Primary Arms Holosun 507c x2 compact will fit the Mk3? I really like the chevron.
Not sure what you mean by compact, but 507c x2 is RMR footprint, fits MK3.
I'm using Vortex Viper fde on fde mk3, but the adjustment locks are behind the rear sight.
Not ideal, but looks good.

There seems to be a major difference in POA for SS197 vs SS198/195.

For those of you with red dots, did you pick one or two loads to optimize for and don't use the others much?
Recieved my RMR HRS in the other day. mounted on the MK3.

Is anyone running a closed emitter RDS? I wanted to put my Acro or Steiner MPS but of course the Acro insert FN sells for the 509 MRD doesn't fit the Five Seven.

I'm not interested in Holosun, was hoping to find something I overlooked.
SRO on mine
no issues with weight of SRO on slide? no failures to feed or double feed as a result of it? Thanks for your input!

very nice looking! How is the ability to use fixed sights through glass of RMR if it were to go down at the wrong time (Murphy)?
