I was practicing with my PS90 other day. I was doing magazine changes as well as left hand firing . I noticed that when firing the PS90 with my left hand the transition from safe to fire was a very smooth transition.

If you are having trouble visualizing what I am talking about I will try to make it more clear. When you fire with the left hand you push the safety forward and your finger naturally goes to the trigger. If you fire with the right hand you have to pull the safety back and then push your finger forward to get on the trigger.

What I am looking for is a safety that offers the safe position on both sides of the fire selection. That way no matter what hand you use you still have that smooth transition.

Does anyone make this type of safety switch?

Boy, I hadn't thought of that. Being a right handed shooter, the safety is natural for me..... sort of the same motion for Safe off as a trigger pull, just have your finger on the dial and not the trigger.

Pull finger on dial for safe off.
Move finger to trigger.
Pull finger on trigger to fire.

I do see what you are saying from a "one motion" sense for lefties though.

Push safety forward for safe off.
Finger naturally goes to trigger
Pull finger on trigger to fire.

Personally I like the first setup, although either is simply a matter of muscle memory.

No, other than a fake safety switch that has a full auto, 3rd option (that does NOT do anything - but it makes it look like a P90 switch), I've never heard of anything like that. As it would basically reverse the safety direction to go the other way, I don't see anyone coming up with that.

I am a right handed shooter but with such a beautifully designed ambidextrious rifle I had to try it left handed. I just want to be able to shoot right handed but push the safety off instead of pulling it. Right now that is my only complaint. I should have never put it in my left hand.

Promoted pawn made a statment about producing the fake P90 safety, You might want to ask if he would be able to produce this.

If this were to catch on I could see FNH adopting that as a upgrade in the next development of the P90.

I will get in touch with Promoted Pawn. I don't think it is a safety issue with pushing it off though because you can push it off if you shoot left handed. I just would like for the safety to read "0,1,0" and work both ways. I think that is what the safety looks like. I am in the hospital so I can't look at it to check.
