It's got two quick disconnect spots for a sling and where the front iron site is at there is enough room for it to fold down but I took my iron sights off so it's just an empty spot in the rail... For now I have a friend milling something up for me though ;)

you can buy 2in rail sections if you need any railing at all and you can put it pretty well anywhere there is holes, so you can customize it to your needs. like i said mine looks goofy on top because there isn't a front sight post but hopefully ill have a nice piece for that in a week or so.

Installation was great remove factory screws and rails replace with vltor screws and handguard, only took about 20 min as for pulling the barrel with it on I'm pretty sure it will still be a breeze. As for weight it adds a little bit of weight towards the front if the barrel. I'm going to the range in about an hr so I'll give you an update on how it works out.

ok didn't get much time at the range but i must say I love it! I can get a farther reach up the barrel its smooth on the hands. I think that the weight farther out forward on the barrel helps even more with the muzzle climb not that there is much anyway. So i highly recommend everyone try it out and see what you think.

Why would I want one? I have no use for all the railing I like how it sets it apart from others and isnt the same ol same. I mean if you want to put a bunch of stuff on the rails and be tacticool its all good or if you just like the look of it the factory way have at it. I like how it hides the gas block and more of the barrel, gives a little protection I guess. Why wouldn't you want one is the question?

Enjoy. I just think that one of the benefits of having a Scar rifle is that is has all the stuff ALREADY you need on it and without the weight. The extra weight does nothing in terms of improving the gun's maneuverability. I can always use plastic covers over the rails if I didn't want them showing. Not to mention how it may effect the harmonics of the weapon.
