Hello all.

Ok, this week I am purchasing an FS2000 (thank you HKSpecialist) and have a couple of questions. I just put in my order for an EOTech 512. They have them on the GG&G site with the accucam installed for a few dollars more that just the EO (FYI).
So,
1. How long is the rail?

2. Will my ARMS 40, EO, and YHM flip front sight fit on the rail (mostly, will the ARMS fit far enough back on the rail for co-witness)?

3. Will I need a riser for the EO to get the sights and dot to line up?

4. Slings, slings, slings... I kinda like 2pt. slings for my ARs Not sure if 1pt might be better for this one though.

Thanks for all this great information on the site, and thanks for answering a newbies questions.

For a sling, I decided to go with the Vickers Combat Applications Sling from Blue Force Tactical. Although it was designed with a M16/M4/AR15 in mind, I told them what I was going to use the sling for and they swapped out the stock part for a SOC-C Hook adapter (for free) to make it compatible with the FS2000. Here is a link below:

I like it. It is a versatile two point sling and very easy to adjust. I have used this in training and when you are going to the ground, getting up, transitioning to a different firearm, etc. you begin to appreciate how nice it is to have something that allows you to prevent your rifle from flopping around and getting in the way.

-For what it is worth, a couple of friends who saw mine, tried it and bought it for their rifles...

Thats guys. I like where the sling loops around the thumb hole and the buttstock, and was wondering if any of the manufacturers of AR slings made that part.

I was also looking at the ERT slings that can go from 1pt to 2pt. Think I might go with one of those.

Yes, there should be plenty of space.

The stock sights are too short to cowitness with an EOTech. If you used your set of rail-mounted BUIS', then you can cowitness easily.
