I was looking at my FNX-40 and noticed two things I want to ask about. It looks like there is a small nick or crack on the very end of the slide rail. On the rear (closest to trigger) of the front right slide rail. Problem??

Also, when slide is locked back it is only being held on the left side. The right side slide lock is in the notch but it is floating about 1/8" in front of the lip. Is that also normal or am I just being anal?

Upon further inspection it appears that all four corners have this but to a lesser degree on the other three corners. I am thinking it must be happening during the forming process. Is it a problem Yes/no?:th_confused0024:

I've seen several that look like that. Doesn't see to be a problem. I'd only worry about it if it gets bigger or starts bending/causing malfunctions. I'd make sure there aren't any sharp corners that could cause damage to the slide (probably not).

In regards to the slide lock, it was designed that way (not entirely sure on the reason though)
