Looking to change from 5.56 to 6.5. Is this something I can do myself or will I need a professional to do?

There are alot of variables to your question. What rifle platform are you currently shooting? It may be simplest to purchase a second rifle.

I'm thinking a pro and not sure they can do it. Different bolt, way different recoil pressure. Maybe start with an M240 if they do a semi version of that.
