As as he posted this in the SCAR 17 forum, most would recognize this as an injury associated with a thumbs up position near the reciprocating charging handle....

Crap, did you swap your CH out for a razor blade? My thumb got bumped couple of times, but never got cut before.

I'm not a doctor, but I did stay at . . .

Looks like a broken thumb from the swelling. Either that or the cut is seriously infected.

Everyone gets hit, especially when sitting at a bench. About the only failures SCARs have are thumb related. Move it to the other side and no more thumb FTF's and also hold it however you like from then on. The rifle, others that shoot it, and your hand will thank you.
