Yeah, I admit it's a bit hard shelling out all the money for these, but I figure I'll either get them now or get them later; might as well be now. Especially before the election. And I really don't foresee wanting much else afterwards (besides a Barrett and Desert Eagle).

Nah, not yet, but I plan to. I need your guys' honest opinion though: if I have the sock dyed, should I do it in black or dark green? Black looks really good to me, but it's kinda conventional. Green would look a little more unique, especially with the black accents.

My dad seems to think I'm a misguided youngster, dazzled by the "cool, Hollywood tactical" stuff. He's more of a traditional guy, and only likes the SL8-1, which, he says, has a silky smooth action. We'll see though.... me buying/shooting/loving my first AR eventually convinced him to buy one of his own. He says these newfangled bullpups and weirdos are just pricier versions of real guns. :-D
