Went looking for a Buckmark at the gunshow today - high and low. All the ones there were over $300 and didn't have fiber optic front sights. I didn't wanna spend over $250. Stainless wasn't that important to me.

After leaving the gunshow empty handed, because I couldn't find one with fiber optic sights, I went to Academy and picked this up for $248.00. I can always change out the sights myself. And, Academy's price was over $60+ cheaper than the cheapest price at the show.

Anyway, can't wait to try it out tomorrow :) - I have enough large calibers. I wanted something for plinking. And, maybe I can get my wife out to the range now. Also, with a son on the way, this'll be a great trainer for him :)

I rented a Buckmark last weekend to try and decide which 22 I wanted. I like the grip and feel of the Buckmarks the best :)

Yes, they have a 5" or 5 1/2" version - I assume that is what U have.

Academy is closing out the 5"ones, and they only had stainless 5" ones for about $100 more.

I'm happy with the 4" version. I rented the 5" one last week - that is what made me want the buckmark. And, I didn't notice any difference with this 4" barrel.

Out of the Neos, Ruger, S&W22 and the Buckmark - the Buckmark had the best grip.

Picked up a front fiber optic sight - I hated the all black sights...

It was $100 more for a version w/ the fiber optic already installed. I bought this for less than $30 and did it myself. Works very well :) - I adjusted the rear sight to work for it, and now I can shoot it like I do my other guns - cover the target with the red dot.

I sandbagged it, and it was very accurate.

Love the buckmark, it is semi confusing that they make so many diffrent models. I have the "Bullseye" model w/ after market grips, Weigand scopemount and aimpoint up top. The thing is dead accurate least at 50 foot indoor range distance (fun to post up a 4" black at 50 feet and put almost all 10 in the X when all the guys are trying to hit the middle of a full q27 at 7-10 feet)

Really I have no idea who makes those grips, they came in a unmarked ziplock baggy with "Buckmark" written on them in perm marker, the gun shop I got them at didnt even know he had them or where he had gotten them (no maker info, didnt even have a price on them lol) they also came broken at the back corner under the safety which after 3 years I finally fixed them yesterday before I took that pic :)
