Has anyone used this long-term? Any issues with too much weight/force on that single point if I put it in the rear? Was planning to run a Magpul MS4 QD attachment just on the top rear part. I noticed EA uses 2 screw points to split the weight/force.

No issues here! I prefer the cleaner look of PMM
But it's common sense 2 mounting points would definitely be a little stronger
So it's would be your personal preference between the two!

I'm actually planning to use the Magpul MS4 and the PMM mount too. I just got both items in this past week but haven't decided where I want to put the PMM mount. I've done some tests and the top rear (like in the pictures above) seems to work well for 2 point but in 1 point is less ideal for me. I plan to mostly 2 point but would like a more ideal location that works well for both. The mounting point to the rear end of the brass ejection opening seems to work well for either 1 or 2 point but I've got no way of actually securely mounting it there. I tried and it just twists off with any little force as if it has a superficial hold of 1 or 2 threads. I should be able to mount it there using the factory screws according to the PMM installation instructions but the screw is a few millimeters too short, and not enough of the threads go into the PMM mount. PMM should update their PDF as that's definitely not a mounting location unless you have slightly longer screws. I might end up having no choice but to mount in one of the top rear locations, like in the pictures.

I don't foresee the PMM mount having weight/force issue even with 1 point. They say they use 7000 series aluminum (7075) which should be as strong as the steel bolt screw and as long as it's mounted securely (with enough threads and a bit of Loctite), it would take quite a bit of force to pull it out, the QD or sling webbing would probably fail first.

I was experimenting with different spots too and I don't think its the issue of the stud/mount flexing but rather the stock. The very front-most location looks very thin at the front but that's the only spot I can find for a front mount that doesn't get too in the way of my support hand. For the rear I agree the rear-most works the best for a 2 point but less than ideal for a single point. The spot just forward of it seems to get kind of in the way of my cheek. I'll need to do more experimenting or just go back to my Spectre sling.

For the front location, I'm using a picatinny side rail that also has a QD socket point at the front of it. I didn't like any of the front bolt mounting locations as it got in the way of either my off hand, charging handle or trigger. Which is also why I didn't like the EA front mount.

thanks

why is it offset with the spacers? Are they necessary and did you have the QD mount towards the front or rear?
The offset is there because the rail is longer than what would normally go in that space, the front part of the rail would hit a metal protrusion on the body without an offset. The included offset spacer was a little too thick for my taste so I used my own, ordinary washers I had laying around. It just needed enough offset for the rail to have enough clearance from the body for QD.

I mounted it with the QD in front, it won't physically mount with the QD in the rear without the offset being pretty ridiculous because the vertical blade is in the way.
