Figured a poll may help some, like myself, what red dot's to check out since they're so many out there....

Would love to hear about your experiences, good and bad below...

Thanks!

I have the rmr on my fnx45 T and in my 509T, they have worked flawlessly on both of them. No issues or complaints . I dont have nothing to compare to but i do own the holosun 507c and they worked great also on my other pistol .

Been liking the Trijicon SRO. I had a RMR but removing a red dot to change the battery is unacceptable if there are other quality alternatives. I know I'm in the minority here and I do like Trijicon's stuff. Sure the RMR is way more bomb proof than the SRO. I don't see my self putting it through that kind of torture. Changing the battery doesn't happen all that often 2-3 years or whatever so I get most don't care. I just don't like pushing my luck with those tiny screw holes in these slides and fasteners. Especially when there are other good options. Then potentially having to re tweek your zero.

The DP Pro would be a no brainier to me over the RMR but I'm not filing the DP or my slide.

However, Aimpoint has finally gotten their act together with the new ACRO P-2. They built it with the battery they should have used the first time. The CR2032 which is used in almost everything else. The Acro P-1 was a huge and rare fail for them. I honestly don't know what kind of Swedish sauce they were on. I sold my NIB one when I read the poor feedback about their blunder with the battery life. Luckily I didn't lose a dime.

I'll be taking a strong look at it. I already secured the grail mounting plate just in case. Without the plate it's just a paper weight that looks like a mini mailbox. That is unless you want to use it on something other than the FNX Tac/FNX 45.

I tried a Vortex Viper on my FNX Tac, ran into an elevation issue that I never could shake. Maybe the Venom is better, but I'm going back to Trijicon when my pockets fill back up. I just set up a G17 MOS with an RMR, and it makes the Vortex seem chintzy.

I just bought three for the 509's. I didn't cry, but I did sigh a bit. Quite a bit, actually.

A heavy sigh I'm sure, you do get your money's worth though. My next will be the RMRcc, perfect size for a concealed carry.

Can't say how much I appreciate everybody sharing your thoughts and preferences regarding optics. Some of these RD's cost half the price of the firearm itself, and your experience might help encourage a perfect or prevent a terrible fit.

Big ups to you, my FN brethren. Your participation in the threads makes this community work, and I say that with gratitude!

+1 on the Trijicon SRO. Much better field of view and clarity than the RMR while still using the same footprint.
