hi everyone my gun is new,and this has happened twice alreadywere it seems like the hammer spring is weak. I get lite hits on the primers an no discharge of cartridge but not everytime. I would like to know has anyone sent their gun back to FN and how long did they keep it. Thanks

I don't recall seeing light primer strikes reported as a problem with FNP's. Check the trigger group housing as suggested above. If that is ok, then maybe try a different type of ammo. Some of the cheaper practice ammo will sometimes have hard primers. I've run into that a couple of times with other guns.

So far FNP customer service has been pretty good, so if its a problem with the gun, they should take care of it.

Yesterday I was at the range for the first time with my FNP9m and the FNP 45. (The g/f had taken the 9m to the range for the first time lastweekdend.) We used Remington 115 gr. in the 9m and Magtech 230gr. in the .45. Last week the 9m had trouble feeding rounds into the chamber, and had the same problem through 2 mags this weekend then worked flawlessly. The 45 had roughly the same problems and 1 light hammer strike (of course during a timed event  ) but by the end of the day and more then 200 rds. through each they began working flawlessly!!!
So what did I find out : Well both needed a bit of break in ammo to work smoothly and  8) That due to a significantly harder double action trigger pull on the 9m the g/f has given it back to me and we got her a baby desert eagle which she became very fond of yesterday!!! I think due to the fact it is quite heavier and she doesnt feel as much recoil from it.
I know 9mm doesnt have much to begin with but lastweekend was her first time shooting ever other then cowboy action stuff!
