I was told by someone that FN changed the trigger pack on the later PS90 and was wondering why they did it and when.

That did not answer the question. 4 pages of rattle & hum, and no one can specify a serial number or date of change. In fact, no one has yet posted a photo of a new style pack for the PS90.
I have personally inspected over a dozen PS90s and none of them are missing the forward safety sear.

The conclusion I've come to is that the forward sear was never omitted from the PS90.

Have to agreee with you. I have NEVER seen in person or in a picture the 'new style' trigger pack which does not have the forward sear for the PS90.

I have seen the modified FS2000 trigger packs, but not any variations in the original PS90 trigger pack.

As said there are none (as in ser # and dates) as the trigger pack was never changed on the PS90 but was changed on the FS2000 and this is where everyone is confusing the issue from some internet rumor. So don't worry about your trigger pack as all is fine. :?
