So I was in the local gun shop today looking at a PS90 and the gentleman at the store quoted me a price of $2200. I said something to the effect of thats pretty steep and he came down to $2000, but I've seen them online for $1700. What gives has anyone else ran into shops high balling them like this?
Also he told me if I wanted it I should buy it now because the ones shipping from FN now come with no sight whatsoever. I really wanted to tell him not to try and sale the salesman but I figured I'd ask here first.

Thanks, Dave

$2200 is way too much from the prices I've seen. If I'm not mistaken, even MSRP is nowhere near that.

Unless the PS90 that guy is sellling comes with a year's supply of back rubs from a bikini model? I mean, I dunno... then it might be worth it.

I don't know about the site part, but my dealer has been warning me that the price on all FN products will be going up, esp. the carbines.

He did tell me that the ammo is supposed to be going down.

They don't call it hearsay for nothing.

When I picked up my PS90 I forked over 2K but my black sight PS90 came with a whole bunch of FN extras. Magazines, (Can't have just one) Sling, Brass catcher, Some ammo and aftermarket Tac/laser light. $2200 for just a PS90 is BULL.

Also I have to ask, Was it a white or black sight?

I paid 1275 and 1180 for my 2. 2200 is way over priced. Alot of people are new to the platform and will pay stupid prices for that cool look. I have seen them in stores here in Arizona for 2K and they do sometimes sell. I would suggest that if you plan to purchase 1 do it before November time frame, as people become nervous, I wouldn't be surprised to see price go up.

I paid 1700 for mine locally (what can I say it was a bad day to go shopping anywhere). 2200 is bull but i did see someone trying to get that a a gun show today....

As far as the sight thing you have 2 options.
1) tri rail - This one has no sights. If you already have one you are going to use (EOTech, Aimpoint ect) then this is the way I would go

2) Standard sight - Now comes from FN with the black Secret Service site standard but there are still a lot of white ring one out there. If you can get one get the black

If you are looking I would go with the standard. If you decide latter to go with an aftermarket optic you will need a rail and they sit a little higher than the tri rail but having the option is worth it IMO

Well if your referring to the retical I couldn't tell you, I couldn't see one at all it was just like looking though a tube.

If you can remember a few details I can show you some pics
The older ring or what everybody calls the white sight is easy to spot as its made of plastic and the front and rear of the sight have the bracing ribs that are angled.

The black sight is made of aluminum and has a much more squarish or blocky style of build.

I'll go buy one and sell it to you for $2200! :x :x
Ha! Thanks for the offer but Ill have to pass. :-D

As to the sight it was made of aluminum for sure, I remember looking at it because it had a lot of casting marks on it. Should I have been able to see a retical in there?

If it was aluminum, then it was the black ringed reticle. Better than the white ringed version. But still not worth $2200 :x
