Can you post pictures of your rifle? I have not heard that the rails are riveted in any way.

In the picture below you posted; "A" does screw in and adjusts the dot sight in this case for windage. "B" secures it and acts like a lock screw to prevent movement once the sight is adjusted. It "B" screws into the receiver.

post a picture of yours, you should not have to drill anything out.

If you are talking about the top rail, there is a special tool to adjust the windage, in that large circular opening, are you saying your is NOT an allen socket in there?
