Does anybody know what the small storage space in the back of the PS90 is for? Is there a small cleaning kit that is supposed to go there? Right now I have a boresnake balled up in it.

Any other good ideas?

Excellent! Thats what I thought. I am going to add a small bottle of CLP to it and it will be a little field maintence kit for my rifle. I just need to get out and shoot it, hopefully tomorrow... :D

The cylindrical space directly behind the buttpad is for an oiler that I've yet to see made available to the public (I store a couple of CR123 batteries in there for my PS90's taclight). The space under the trigger pack is for the P90 cleaning kit (available occasionally from Impact) but the pull-through chain is for the P90's 10" bbl and has to be replaced with a longer chain if you want to use it on the PS90. I use this space to hold spare Aimpoint batteries but it holds 2 AA batteries perfectly as well.

I thought I read somewhere that it is the location of the battery for the integrated laser and other electronics you can purchase...mostly for P90s.

We do a laser install that has the battery back there, but I've never seen or heard of any other instances of a working battery in there.
Maybe you're thinking of the big space in the FS2000. It's big enough to fit a small DVR, or a huge battery, or pretty much anything.

You can see the location of the battery for the factory P90 internal laser in this pic, it's visible at the bottom of the stock behind the trigger and directly underneath the activation button.
