You might not be able to tell but mine looks a bit different. It has some groove type lines tha run paralell to the barrel.

I'm trying to get the barrel from CMMG but my question is that there are 2 flash hider options on the webpage order form. the first one has a Gemtech option which I plan to get, but then there is a second flash hider option. Is this second flash hider take the place of the Gemtech attachment when the suppressor is not on? If I specify nothing in the second flash hider option then I basically won't have one with the suppressor off?

You don't switch flash hiders. If you intend to get a Gemtech G5 with Bi-lock connector then you should get that flash hider. The other one you will never need.
