Hello to all on the forums, and thanks for having me, this is my virgin post.(on this forum).

On to business.

I have a PS90 that I am going to SBR, I have in my posession ( in a different building than the PS90), A 10.3" SBR barrel that I purchased from Impact guns out of Ogden Utah.

I have heard that to install it I am going to have to have a flash hider as well. IE; (can't just install the barrel as is).

I should just shut up and restate that I have a 10.3" replacement SBR barrel, and my PS90,... What is my next step....?

Thanx for any replies... PS> I know about BATFE regulations and follow them exactly, So don't bother letting me know that this is a class III job and requires paperwork,... blah blah blah...,I know,... I have other class III's

Thanks again for any replies.

Bye Bye.

Welcome to the site!

Yes, U will need a new flashhider.

I'm no expert, but briefly, U either drill out the pin and remove the front part of the barrel/flashhider - then you can unscrew the barrel from the rear and remove it. Most people just cut the original barrel and then remove it, however.

It is my understanding that you should push some sort of cylinder/long rod into where the barrel was as U push the barrel out, because there is some parts in the received that you do not want to move out of place.

Then U replace the barrel w/ the new barrel. And, add the flash hider.

I believe the receiver should be held in a vice as this is done. Therm can probably give U more detailed instructions. I have not short barreled mine, but read some step by step instructions a while back on how to do it.

Specialist,

You will need a thin 15mm crows foot and torque wrench for the barrel chamber end and hold the flash hider with a thin 19mm wrench (with the 19mm wrench held in a vice).

If you need any of the above items, please drop me an e-mail and I'll hook you up.:D

Thanks,

Hoover

Danke' Shun'

I greatly appreciate the quick replies, usually your first post on a new board is plagued by people "Hating" the fact that it is your first post and you are so "newbiesque".

But I feel at home here.

Thanks for all the info... I am just going to copy and paste it all and give it to my gunsmith, just to make sure he knows (EXACTLY) what he is supposed to do... I am pretty sure that he has done other PS90's, but hey. "better safe than sorry"

Thanx again guys.
