I might be buying one and the one I saw has the "factory scope" on the top.
Can this be removed to expose the "rails" so I can mount a differnt type of scope?

Yes it can.

Also the rail on that version is polymer, not metal like the tactical model.

It also sits lower than the rail of the tactical and is shorter in useable length.

Depending on what you want you might need risers or micro footprint devices.

Like others said the rail is usable...but polymer, lower and shorter. For me it needs a rail riser to accommodate an optic.

It seems like many of the posts on this section are a "little older"?,,maybe because the FS2000 is no longer made?
I think I will get the one with the "flat top" rails on it.

Well the first reason I would like to give you is, they dont have many problems. The main reason is, there are not many FS2000 in circulation. Then figure how many FS2000 owners post and or know about this forum. It is a great bull-pup :shock: :th_sign0008:
