Saturday Morning the wife and I were at the gun store. They had a couple of FiveSevens in the display case which I looked at but kept going. A while later she found a gun she wanted and while talking to the salesperson mentioned I had recently purchased a PS90. The Sales Person said he had something to show me and went into the back room and came out with a new Fiveseven handgun. He said it was a "special" Mil/Leo model. He said the others in the case were "commercial models" but either he did not tell me what the differences were or I was not listening to him. What I did hear was the "Walk it out the door price" was $1385.00 This was for the gun, 2 boxes of SS-197, an all sales taxes (we area 10% tax area).
So my questions:

1. Is there a difference between the commercial and mil/leo models? If so, what:

2. Is $1385.00 - 60.00 (He sells SS_197 for $30.00/box) a good price?

1. As far as I know the firearm is the same between leo/mil and commercial. The LEO/mil is a discount price for those who qualify. It may also be marked on the box as such but no difference other than that
2. A little high IMHO but since you are buying from brick and morter and in stock may not be too bad. I paid 1100$ for a BNIB from highplainsgunshop not long ago but also have paid 1500$ for a fde model too when I couldn't find one.

Well the more I look at it and compare "out the door" costs the $1385.00 gun is in the ballpark.

Another writer pointed out a site that offered the gun for $1042. To get to the "out the door cost" 1042 gun + 30 shipping =1072.00 + credit card charge (4%) 42.88 = 1114.88 + 2 boxes of SS-198 (34.99 x 2) 69.98 = 1184.86 + 10% sales tax 118.48 =1303.34 + FFL Transfer Fee $25.00 = 1328.34.

So by paying $56.66 more I get the gun right now, and the immediate support from highly respected local shop.

Oh my wife is going to be so pissed with me......

I've forked over the extra coin (and sometimes quite a bit more) for that premium more than a few times. I always forget about it pretty quickly. Enjoy the Five-seveN.
